Taste of Art at Chaz 51 Steak House, Venice

Creative Liberties and Chaz 51 Steakhouse are excited to announce a new collaboration called "Taste of Art" that combines wonderful food and drink with incredible local art.

This is an opportunity to for artists to create live on select evenings in the restaurant from 5-8:30pm. Artists will arrive at 4:30pm to set up and stop work at 8:30pm to be finished with clean up by 9pm. (sometimes sooner if the restaurant closes early)

Sarasota Chalk Festival - November 8-10

Creative Liberties will be hosting Artist Volunteer Information sessions at our 927 N Lime Avenue location:

Wednesday, September 18th - 10-11am (in person at 927 N. Lime)
Wednesday, September 18th - 6-7pm (in person at 927 N. Lime)
Thursday, September 19th - 6-7pm (Zoom)
Please plan to attend if you are interested in learning more about how you can be a volunteer participant with the Chalk Festival. (No need to attend both sessions, pick one that works for you.) Creative Liberties will also be host to October workshops for creating costumes, headdress and puppets for the closing ceremony parade for the Sarasota Chalk Festival

5x5 for $5 Community Artmaking Event

Creative Liberties is proud to sponsor the 5x5for5 event that is a part of Sarasota Rising's "Living Arts Festival". This is a collaborative event that allows artists and other members of the community to create art together. This event and its participants will further support the arts when the art is displayed and available for purchase by the youth of our community.

This art will be available for purchase at a special event called Rise & Shine Saturday on Saturday November 9th, 2024 from 9:00am - 5:00pm at the Municipal Auditorium. This 5x5for5 will provide an opportunity for the children to become art collectors by purchasing their very first piece of art for just $5. This type of art project is already utilized in many festivals around the country. This 5x5for5 is our unique spin as, well, we all know sometimes, less IS more!

The required 5"x5" Canvases can be picked up at Creative Liberties 901B Apricot Avenue location, Thursday - Saturday, 10am -3pm. Preferably, we would like artists to attend the Collaborative Artmaking events that will take place at Creative Liberties 927 N Lime Avenue location on Tuesday, September 17 between 3-7pm AND Friday, October 18th between 1-7pm. Canvases will be provided, but artists should bring their own materials they would like to work with. Have extra materials or materials you're not using anymore? Bring them along for others to use! This is a communal, inclusive event and there is no cost to participate.
